Meet the Speakers

  • Allison Davenport, a biology student and researcher at the Governor’s School @ Innovation Park, believes that science is most powerful when it connects to people. Her research and mentorship experiences reflect her mission to bridge data with empathy. Through the Medical Science Explorers Club at Tyler Elementary School, she shares that passion with younger students, inspiring the next generation of scientists and healthcare leaders.

  • Conner Mather is a 20-year-old creator and youth advocate from Virginia with over two million followers across TikTok and YouTube. Named YouTube’s “Creator on the Rise,” he first gained attention through viral entertainment content before shifting his focus to digital literacy and the hidden ways algorithms shape identity and well-being. Today, he uses his platform to spark conversations about awareness, self-discipline, and how technology impacts human connection. Conner also trains as a boxer with Jeff Mayweather, modeling discipline as part of his message.

  • Riley Devereaux is a current senior at Battlefield High School and resides in Haymarket, Virginia. Riley is passionate about politics and advocacy and works to foster change and understanding. Therefore, Riley has taken numerous leadership positions in advocacy and civic engagement organizations. Riley is excited to speak today and educate the community about cultural and epistemic violence.

  • Omar Ali is a senior at Gainesville High School and a dedicated student in the Governor’s School at Innovation Park, where he studies advanced chemistry. Passionate about science and innovation, Omar enjoys exploring how chemistry connects to real-world applications and problem-solving. His curiosity and determination have driven him to take on projects that combine creativity with scientific thinking. Beyond the lab, Omar values learning, mentorship, and inspiring others to stay curious about the world around them.

  • Yuvi is an EMT and dedicated student from Gainesville High School with a strong passion for science and community service. As an active volunteer in his local area, he has developed a deep understanding of the emotional challenges faced by those in the medical field. His experiences on the front lines of patient care have shaped his curiosity about the intersection of empathy, stress, and emotional regulation in healthcare. Yuvi hopes to inspire others to recognize the value of emotional awareness in both professional and personal growth.

  • Hirah Contractor is a senior at Gainesville High School and the founder and CEO of Parwa United, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises awareness about domestic violence and supports survivors through community-driven initiatives. Through her work, she strives to show how compassion and action can break cycles of silence and inspire healing within communities.

  • Rigel Villaruel is a freshman at Gainesville High School with a deep passion for music and writing. He was previously inducted into Gainesville Middle School’s Hall of Fame and serves as a church organist. In his free time, Rigel enjoys learning about technology and spending time with his two dogs, Popeye and Aslan.

  • Zeynep Calik is 16 years old and a junior at Gainesville High School. Her hobbies include going on walks, baking, and occasionally drawing. In the future, she is planning on going into the medical field and is interested in subjects such as science and math.
